What Is KUNTUM ?

KUNTUM abbreviated of Kumpulan Tuisyen Hujung Minggu or Group of Free Weekend Tuition. This is a poverty eradication programme through education excellent. This programme was started as early in 1993 whereby free tuition for SPM (Malaysia Certificate Examination) were organised by YBK especially for candidate who comes from very poor family in rural areas.

Every year during Mac to October, YBK organised free tuition for poor student in selected rural school who preparing for SPM (Malaysia Certificate Examination) are provided by YBK. The classes comprises 20 poor students who are cannot afford to pay for private tuition, They were attending the tuition either after normal school time or weekend depends on school or teachers avalaibility for selected subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Language and Accounting.

The programme had succesfully improved students academic performence in generall especially in those subject thought. The programmes were conducted with the collaboration of selected rural school including schools priciple in Peninsular Malaysia.
