EXCELLENT DESA KASIH PROGRAMME

Background

Excellent Desa Kasih Programme was socio-economy development programme specially design for hardcore poor family in Selangor. In this programme government of Malaysia, through the Ministry Of Rural & Regional Development had given YBK a special grant amount RM1.8 million on the year 2001. The aimed of the programme was to improve a quality of life of the family, cultivate good values among the household member, produce entrepreneur and small scale businessman among hardcore poor family, produce knowledge and skillfull society and to improve academic achievement among students in the society

Strategy

Attitude Rehabilitation Programme - human resource development via siries of motivation, lectures, classes and seminars. Students also had given fairly siries of motivation, trainning and career development programme

Economy development - business guidence and aids. Programme included sewing ang other skill trainning, food processing know-how trainning and equipment aids

Student Excellent Centre - Every resettlement for hardcore poor which develop by YBK had equipped with student excellent centre facilities. The facilities were eqipped with book shelve and furniture, 6-10 of computers, books and megazines. YBK also provide with tuition for the student.

ICT Programme - Every resettlement for hardcore poor which develop by YBK had equipped with ICT Center. With the hardware and software together computer assistants, every students and househlh member in the society had a opportunities to exposed themselve with computer knowledger and skill
