Asrama Kasih YBK Serendah (YBK Shelter For Poor Children)

Asrama Kasih YBK Serendah (Shelter for Poor Children) located in Serendah 30km from Kuala Lumpur. The shelter or co-called hostel was built on the YBK's land in 1994 at coat of RM1.9 million. Till now YBK had spend almost RM3.2 million for the additional infra-structure such as accomodation, canteen, transpoort and mosque. YBK Shelter Fo Poor Children is administered by former prison Director, Abdul Latiff Husein. Being the principle he has 6 assistant including the bus driver.

Children who being selected to this programme merely those who from hard-core poor familiy or ophane. Only those who are pottentially succed in academic are elected after tight screening process such us apptitute and attitude test, fairly excelled in academic achievement.

Shelter For Poor Children provides free accomodation and food and tuition. The hostel also provided with sport equipmentt and facilities, mosque, study facilitues such as library and computer lab, religous class, schools fees, pocket money and transportation. YBK bliefs with sufficient infra-structure and good guidence we wil able to generate student with excellent, diciplne and develop with good chartacter and values. Till now there are 1,079 poor children had been benefited from the programme. Number of student as at 31 Mac 2008 is 171 (79 girls and 92 boys)
